Whats next?

When you have read and researched all of this and checked out the Take a Part Tutorials it’s time to get creative. If you’re not already inspired, here are some further practical tips to kick-start creativity:

Take a walk (within 2 km radius) and collect leaves & wild flowers for inspiration

Use the nature study copy to stick down and sketch your collection

This is a great parent and child excuse to get out for a walk

Think about what really interests you

Take time for yourself to do this, when we actually sit for a while we become grounded and our creativity flows

Cut out images you like, trace or copy them into the sketchbook

Photocopy text pages you find if you have access to a printer

Find an artist/writer/thinker/actor/idol you love, research them and their life

Google everything and anything. Tip: if you need an image of a cat for example…...google: cat silhouette or cat vector this will give you the solid black form of a cat.

If you don’t find what you’re looking for, so what,  you may come up with a better idea

Ideas may come from this journey, you might think your idea is crappy but you’ll definitely learn something along the way

Think & experiment on your own first

Show and share ideas as you progress

Experiment with the materials in the pack

Experiment with ideas like making  your own paint medium, such as cold coffee or food dye

Get the local paper, turn a negative story into a positive quote or poem
